Bridge Multimedia was thrilled to learn that the free accessible Cyberchase educational video games, that we developed with funding from the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP), had been played nearly three million times in the past eight months!
Since 2020, Bridge provided accessibility for five STEM-related award-winning video games based on the wildly popular Cyberchase animated series produced by WNET-THIRTEEN. These games include: Railway Hero, Echo Explorers, Duck Dash, Cyber Fashion Challenge, and Cyber Sound Quest. Across these five games, players learn about adding, reading graphs, geometry, ecology, noise pollution, and other science and math concepts.

According to Wendy Sapp, Ph.D., Bridge’s Chief Research Officer & Senior Project Director,
“Everyone at Bridge is thrilled that so many children with and without disabilities are enjoying these fun, educational accessible games. The most recent game, Cyber Sound Quest, came out in April, 2024. It can be played in English or in Spanish, which makes it even more inclusive.”
Bridge Multimedia thanks OSEP, WNET-THIRTEEN, and PBS KIDS for making our accessible educational gaming initiative such a success. Dr. Sapp said,
“For the past five years, one new accessible Cyberchase game has launched. It’s a tribute to the quality and lasting power of these games that all of the games are still being played so many times. It really demonstrates the desire for accessible gaming.”
