Incorporating Music into O&M for Preschoolers with Visual Impairments.

Overview

Somebody's Jumping on the Floor is a collaborative project that develops songs for teaching Orientation and Mobility (O&M) skills and concepts to young children with visual impairments. Currently professional musicians have recorded 9 songs. Lyrics for these songs and at least 10 other songs are available, with some lyrics also available in Spanish. The project also provides a list of the O&M skills and concepts included in these songs. All of these materials can be downloaded FREE and can be reproduced and distributed with reference to this site. The project continues as new songs are developed, including songs in Spanish and other languages.
